'All their lives some kids, they’re told they’re never going to achieve anything’
Access Sport ambassadors John Barnes, with host Natalie Pinkham, and Greg Searle and Jody Cuny
The 2010 Going for Gold Dinner was a really successful evening, with a great number of our ambassadors joining us on the night. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and supported our vision for 2012. We managed to fundraise a brilliant £38,500 on the night – well done to everyone involved!
Access Sport award winners Paul Annergarn (fundraiser of the year), Bonny Brown (volunteer of the year) and Lakhdar Djelloul (Club of the year - Tower Hamlets cycling Club) with John Barnes and bidders in the main auction.
The evening took place in the opulent Fishmongers’ Hall, with trustee Natalie Pinkham being joined by presenter and comedian Nat Coombs to host the evening. There were Q and A’s with ambassadors John Barnes, Rebecca Romero, Jody Cundy, Greg Searle and Gail Emms. As well as this there were rousing speeches from founder Charlie Beauchamp, ambassador Jon Callard and other supporters of the charity.
Thanks once again to everyone involved! More pictures to follow soon....
