‘At night time you want something to do, something to look forward to’

Newham Youngbloods, one of our partner clubs in East London, are looking for volunteers to help coaches run their basketball training sessions and matches, and are hosting free training courses over the February half term to train new volunteers.
The training courses include:
All sessions are held at St Angela’s Ursuline School, which won School Team of the Year award in the Daily Telegraph School Sports Matters Awards 2011 and have very close links with Newham Youngbloods through their club-school link.
Last year Newham Youngbloods introduced three new teams. A mens and womens team allowing progression for older members of the club and an U16 girls team too. This has mean that there has been the capacity for 40 new players to join the club, but in order to maintain these numbers the club require additional volunteers to help out.
If you are interested in joining the volunteer team at Newham Youngbloods then please contact Caroline Charles (caroline.charles@stangelas-ursuline.co.uk), who will be able to provide further details on the training courses and the various voluntary positions that are available.
