‘I want to say thanks for making me a good player, helping me go to school and out of trouble...

Access Sport’s East London Sports Jam project has been recognised as “outstanding” by LOCOG (2012 organisers) through their award of the Inspire mark. In the run up to 2012 we aim to work with 50 clubs in East London to help transform opportunities for young people.
Our first East London Sports Jam was held on 4th October in Mile End Park, Tower Hamlets. As a direct result of Sports Jam Tower Hamlets Cycling Club has tripled it’s regular attendance and with Access Sport Help Shiners FC has grown from 18 to 86 regular attendees.

"This high-quality festival of sport will help more young people discover the fun and fulfilment of sport” Richard Lewis, Chair of Sport England
“For me London 2012 will not be what it should be if grass roots events like Sports Jam don’t happen.” Bradley Wiggins, multiple Olympic Gold Medallist, Access Sport Ambassador
