One of our fantastic trustees has been taking part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain, arranged by one of Access Sport partners Threshold Sports. Quentin Boyes cycled 1000 miles in 9 days, averaging around 115 miles per day, taking in the sights and sounds of the great British countryside, as well as one or two hills....

Please do support Q in taking part in this event for Access Sport by visiting his JustGiving page – http://www.justgiving.com/quentin-boyes -  it really is a great event and a fantastic effort on his part, so please do show your support!

And if you'd like to see exactly how Q's journey panned out, then please visit his blog http://quentinridesacrossbritain.blogspot.com/

The Enduro

The Enduro Challenge is a relay triathlon event that is very much for the brave. It starts with a 90 mile run from London to Dover, then a 25 mile Channel swim to Calais (with no wetsuits) and concludes with a 180 mile bike ride to the Eiffel Tower. Each leg is done in a relay, taking on 5 other teams to get to Paris first.

The team is aiming to raise £12,000 for Access Sport and it would be great if you could show your support for Paul Annegarn, Simona Casella, Christophe Duval-Kieffer, Julien Leonard, Adrian Carr and Michael Guard- http://www.justgiving.com/The-Enduro-Challenge. I’m sure you agree that it is a truly tough challenge!

The Bristol Half Marathon

Back in March Joe and Sam Beament ran the Bath Half for Access Sport. Now, in September, they are fundraising for us again. Joe and Sam will be teaming up with Eve and Abbie to run the Bristol Half marathon and raise £1,200. They are all long time members of Keynsham Swimming Club, a club that Access Sport has supported for last the 2 years. Please dig deep and support their efforts  http://www.justgiving.com/JoeSamEveAbbie
