East London SportsJAM a great success
The East London SportsJAM took part at Mile End Stadium on Tuesday 3rd of August, with local community sports clubs using the event as a way to advertise their clubs to the local community and to give children the opportunity to take part in new sports and meet new people.
15 sports were showcased and tried out by local children, with the aim of driving long term involvement in community sport. Access Sport Ambassadors, Olympic Medallist Gail Emms and England and Arsenal Ladies football star Rachel Yankey were on hand to encourage young people from Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham to try new sports and introduce them to local community sports clubs.
