Wheels for All (WFA) Oxford provides; quality, safe, fun and friendly cycling opportunities for anyone aged 16 or over in Oxford. Sessions run weekly, are focused on participation and all equipment is provided. This ensures that people who cannot ride a two wheeled bike can still experience the physical and mental benefits of regular cycling. Carers, family members and friends are more than welcome to join in or simply spectate with a hot beverage, giving the club a real community feel.

WFA is run completely by volunteers including Steve and Juliet who were there on the night to collect their award with participant Katie.

I have cerebral palsy and the cycling helps to keep my legs moving and me active. Sessions are so friendly.

78% of registered WFA participants have a disability or impairment. Without this club these participants would be part of the 43% nationally who are inactive (Activity Alliance). The range of bicycles available at sessions enables participants to progress in cycling. Every participant can feel a sense of achievement based upon their own goals.

Access Sport provided a club grant to WFA and has supported the club's advertising and marketing including  designing their new logo .

Club Development Manager Hayley said:

I'm so pleased for everyone involved with Wheels for All. Sessions are so relaxed and friendly, they've built a real community. It's a place where you can come for a chat and a cup of tea as well as a spin around the track. This award is the recognition of a lot of hard work by just a few volunteers and will help the club grow and positively impact even more people.

WFA sessions run every Friday from 9:30am - 12:00pm at Horspath Athletics Track, Horspath Road, Oxford, OX4 2RR.
