BMXercise is fun, friendly and fitness-based BMXing for women. Sessions run all over the country and are a great way to gain confidence on a bike, meet new people and pick up new skills.

BMXercise is a women-only fitness session that takes place at a BMX track or Skate Park. It is a great way to get fit, have fun and meet new people. The sessions work to increase fitness in a fun and friendly atmosphere, which sets BMXercise a part from a normal BMX Club session.

Sessions run all over the UK and are open to everyone; we encourage all women to come along and give it a go regardless of previous BMX experience or fitness levels. See below for more information on BMXercise.

FAQs

Do I need my own bike?

No! For all our sessions, all equipment is provided including bikes and helmets. We do ask that you wear long sleeved clothing.

I've never tried BMX before. Can I still come along?

Of course! The vast majority of our BMXercisers haven't touched a BMX before coming along. 

I'm not very fit. Will I be ok to join?

Yes! BMXercise is suitable for all levels of fitness - our coaches are trained to adapt sessions to match participants abilities. 

I'm nervous about turning up alone 

Don't be! Our sessions are designed to be social and friendly and our coaches will introduce themselves to you and make you feel welcome. 

How do I book?

Some sessions require booking ahead, others you can just turn up! See the table below for details 

Is there an age limit?

Our sessions are open to women aged 16 and older (with plenty of women 50+ joining in the sessions)

Do I need to be able to ride a bike?

You don't need to be an expert bike rider by any means, but we do require a basic standard of riding. If you would like to learn how to ride a bike you can join one of our WoW Cycling groups.

BMXercise Sub Brands  - Mini BMXercise & Teen BMXercise 

We are keen to provide teenage and younger girls with more opportunities to develop a passion for cycling and BMX and have come up with some BMXercise sub brands:

  • Mini BMXercise is for girls aged 7-11 and removes some of the barriers and misconceptions associated with girls and cycling. Mini BMXercise intends to introduce BMX, particularly to those who do not participate in sport. Sessions focus on providing younger girls with the opportunity to develop a passion for cycling and BMX within their own fun and safe environment. 

  • Teen BMXercise is for teenage girls aged 12 - 16 and focuses on the fun and non race side to BMX. Teen BMXercise intends to get girls to like cycling and see it as an activity for them. Sessions focus on providing girls with the opportunity to develop a passion for cycling and BMX within their own fun and safe environment. There is also a focus on increasing fitness, stability and balance at sessions.
