Joseph, organiser of the Bristol Charity Football Tournament, said he has always believed in the 'power of sport to bring people together from all different backgrounds', describing it as a "positive force in society". And this was what encouraged the Bristol Women's Football Casual League and the Amicale Sportive de Lille to come together one afternoon, playing the sport they love, to give children from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to do the same...

On the day there were approximately 140 participants, including 6 women's teams from the Bristol area, one from Lille in France, and one men's 11 a side team from France!

The Bristol Women's Football Casual League were hugely supportive of the event entering 6 teams, including the Misfits which coincidentally are a team set up by our Access Sport team in Bristol many years ago! Over the course of the afternoon they played 36 matches over 2 hours...an amazing effort!
