On the 12th April Oxford City Athletics Club and Access Sport hosted an inclusive Athletics and Racerunning taster day, open to all ages and abilities.

Participants attended from across the county with their parents, carers and siblings. This was the first time that a disability athletics session had been run in the county.  The participants took part in a multitude of events including; long jump, high jump, hurdles and sprinting.

The feedback on the day was overwhelmingly positive:

The coaches were warm, friendly and very committed which left a big impression on us all.

The Oxford Athletics Club coaches and volunteers can't wait to get regular sessions up and running. Keep an eye on the High Sheriff Twitter Page @AShigh_Sheriff for further details.

I thought the session was a great success and really showed how much fun the children, and the adults, were having trying out different sports.
