What is L'Etape?

L'Etape London is an open road route, taking in much of the Stage Three of the 2014 Tour de France route, and culminating with a lap of honour around the Lee Valley VeloPark.

The event village, based just outside the spectacular VeloPark, has an undeniable Tour de France buzz, featuring the familiar red Skodas, a Tour de France finish podium, and in past years even Chris Froome himself, helping riders through the last stretch and posing for photos.

The event is suitable for riders of all abilities, with three distances available to chose from:

  • The Long Route - 117 miles
  • The Medium Route - 92 miles
  • The Short Route - 49 miles

100 riders could change 100 young lives!

The lucky riders enjoyed the extraordinary experience of the world's biggest bike race alongside the 2010 winner. Greeting riders as they set off, giving out advice at a feed station on route, and handing out medals to those successfully completing the ride. The cycling champion even posed for photos with successful finishers on the Tour de France style winners podium!
