New Pump Track Facility Development - London Borough of Bromley, Hoblingwell Wood Recreation Grounds

We believe movement, activity and sport has an important role to play in supporting people's health and wellbeing, as well as building stronger communities.

Cycling has a vital role to play as it can be enjoyed by everyone and confidence on a bike can lead to a lifetime of cycling, fun and freedom.

With this in mind, we want to bring together a group of individuals, organisations, groups and anyone else who is interested in making the most of the planning Bromley Bike Hub at Hoblingwell Wood Recreation Grounds, Leesons Hill, Orpington, BR5 2QB.

The development of the new facility is scheduled to start by the end of 2021 and will be ready to use 8 - 12 weeks on from the build start date. Bromley Pump Track is designed for 'all wheels' such as mountain bikes, scooters, BMX bikes and skateboards. The pump track combines a BMX pump track, learn to ride area and storage containers housing community cycling equipment such as bikes and helmets. Please see below a sketch design of Bromley Pump Track.

Through this group of interested local people, we want to support the development of services at Bromley Pump Track to become a thriving community cycling facility providing opportunities for all regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, ability, disability, social background or cycling confidence level as well as support the establishment of the site's community bike club.

Please let us know if you are interested in joining this group through completing this short form.
