Championing System Change

Too many disabled and disadvantaged young people are being excluded from the transformational benefits of community sport

We use the on-the-ground insights gained through our work with sports clubs, organisations and volunteers to advocate for and champion system wide change.

This work aims to amplify the needs, aspirations and voices of the communities we support and includes:

  • Extensive engagement and collaborative working with sector partners
  • Supporting relevant industry forums and working groups
  • Conference panels and keynote speeches
  • Corporate speaking
  • Responding to key publications and news stories.

Community sport has the power to make tangible positive change and needs to be a priority for the Government and all national organisations committed to reducing societal inequalities.

To increase awareness of and investment in sport for development, we have identified five key areas of change that will improve underserved children and young people’s access to the benefits of inclusive community sport. These are encompassed in ‘Five Key Changes’, our Manifesto for Change.

Read our manifesto by clicking on the image below.

With your help, we can make this manifesto a reality.
