Tim Jones

Access Sport Chairman

Tim is a former managing partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, also working as HRH Prince Charles’ Ambassador for ‘Responsible Business in London’, between 2010 – 2012. Tim was also the former legal adviser to London 2012 and General Counsel to England 2015 for the Rugby World Cup. Tim works as a Trustee for a selection of charities, aiming to improve opportunities and increase safety across London - in our case this is through sport.

Currently, Tim is a member of the Access Sport Income Generation team.

John has been named one of the top 25 General Counsel in Canada and has extensive experience working internationally and particularly in the UK, US, and Canada. He has been engaged both in public and private sectors and has worked in law firms and corporations in the UK and Canada in the aviation, telecommunications and real estate sectors.

Grace Clancey

Grace has 20 years’ experience working in the sport and leisure sector in a variety of different roles. After several enjoyable years working at Sport England, in 2001 Grace co-founded leading leisure consultancy business, Continuum Sport and Leisure Ltd – where Grace currently acts as the Company Director.

Grace specialises in working with clients on insight gathering, strategy and policy development, grant funding and facilities planning. She has notable experience of working with National Governing Bodies of sport, clubs, the education sector, local authorities, charities, and the private sector. Grace has been a Trustee of Access Sport since 2012 and is also a Trustee of Goalball UK.

Frances Cleland Bones

Frances is a former Director in the Global Strategy Group at KPMG and more recently has worked as Director of Business and later Director of Operations & Finance (Interim) at AfriKids.  She was a Gamesmaker at the London 2012 Paralympics.  Frances also sits on the board of and is an advisor to a number of charities and is closely involved in improving the life opportunities for children and marginalised groups both in the UK and overseas.

Helen Killingley

Helen has 10 years' experience working in a variety of roles across the charitable sector.  She first came across Access Sport during her time working extensively at London Youth Games across their community and school sport programmes as well as developing their volunteering and disability programmes.  Following this, and her work at London 2012 she now works at the funding charity Spirit of 2012, a legacy from the Olympic and Paralympic Games.  She is responsible for a managing a portfolio of grants gathering insights and data to monitor and evaluate their social impact on individuals and their communities.  She has considerable experience across these areas and in systems improvement.  

Helen is a keen runner, cyclist and skier.  She actively volunteers with GoodGym and recognises the power sport has to transform lives and not just for the athletes.

Martin McPhee

Martin is currently a board member of a number of global organisations and an Operating Partner within a major global Private Equity company.

Martin is a former Managing Partner at Accenture and Senior Vice President at Cisco, where he was responsible for running, building and transforming businesses of up to 15,000 people.

Martin has 5 children ranging from 25 to 8, so recognises the importance that sports have in the development of his own children, he is a keen and active golfer, skier, enjoys football, and is currently on the Access Sport Income Generation team.

Kelly Tran

Kelly holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is currently a Client Director at Newton Investment Management, an investment firm of Bank of New York Mellon. Prior to joining Newton, Kelly was at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, managing investment portfolios for ultra-high net worth clients from Emerging Markets. Kelly is passionate about supporting the diversity and inclusion movement at the corporate and industry level, and she believes sport is a great way to enrich young people’s lives and therefore create more diverse and inclusive societies and communities.

Lauren Toure

Lauren Touré (nee Finnegan) is a Senior Consultant for FI, bringing with her over 12 years’ experience within the diversity and social inclusion sector. Lauren has provided expert diversity and inclusion strategic advice, systems and policy guidance and contemporary training delivery to clients across the retail, legal, finance, STEM, government and charity sector, and most recently extended her portfolio of expertise by heading up HR Operations at public Health England to ensure that inclusive behaviours and leadership was at the very core of People strategy and systems.  Lauren began her career within the charity sector, working with European Social Fund projects developing ground-breaking methodology and materials for supporting more disabled people into work. Lauren joined the London 2012 Organising Committee’s Diversity and Inclusion Team in 2009 to help them attract, recruit and train a record number of disabled volunteers by Games time.

In addition to her Trustee position for Access Sport, Lauren supports unemployed disabled people through mentoring, workshops and talks. Lauren continues to work closely with Civil Service and Middlesex Business School’ colleagues on a voluntary basis for building diversity monitoring systems within multi-display government funded environments.
