The terms and conditions set out on this page apply to all types of fundraising activity, we have broken them down into sections, please read, in full, those that apply to your type of fundraising; Challenge Events (Charity Place), Do It Yourself Fundraisers (Challenge Events), Do It Yourself Fundraisers (Non-Challenge Events) and Competitions. By signing up to fundraise for Access Sport you agree to comply with our terms and conditions. Please note that if you are under 18, you confirm that you have shown these terms and conditions to your parent/guardian, and they have agreed to accept responsibility for complying with these terms and conditions. Challenge Events - Charity Place To fundraise for Access Sport by taking part in a sporting challenge, you must agree to the terms and conditions below. Taking part: 1. You understand that the event is not organised by Access Sport but by a third party (“Event Organiser”) and you agree to the terms and conditions set out by the event organiser for the event you are involved in. 2. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are sufficiently fit to take part in this event and if you are in any doubt about this, you will seek advice from your own General Practitioner. You confirm that you are medically fit, your general state of health and fitness is good, and you take full responsibility for your training. You agree that you are participating in this event at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Access Sport does not accept responsibility for any liability, loss, death, injury, damage or claim which may arise as a result of your participation in this event, whether in relation to injury or loss to yourself or to any other person. 3. You agree to notify Access Sport as soon as possible if you are no longer able to take part in the event. The charity places are non – transferable and you understand that your registration fee is non – refundable and does not contribute towards your fundraising target. 4. You confirm that you will be the minimum age required to take part in the event. For more information on age requirements for specific events, please email [email protected] 5. You understand that Access Sport may need to share your details with the event organiser. You understand that, if needed, it will be your responsibility to complete the Event Organiser’s registration also. Fundraising: 1. You commit to raising the minimum sponsorship for Access Sport for the event you have registered for. If you are unable to meet the minimum sponsorship, you may choose to make up the balance yourself or you may lose your place. You understand that Gift Aid is not included in your minimum sponsorship. The money raised from Gift Aid is a valuable bonus for Access Sport. 2. For all events, your full minimum sponsorship amount must be paid to Access Sport within six weeks after the event date. 3. For events with a minimum sponsorship over £700, at least 30 per cent of your minimum sponsorship should be paid to Access Sport one week before the event. 4. If you do not take part in the event, any sponsorship money raised will be treated as donations unless your sponsors contact Access Sport directly for a refund. 5. You agree to raise all money using legal methods and complying with the advice given on our website. 6. All funds raised for Access Sport through the event will be made payable to Access Sport. You give Access Sport permission to use any photographs or videos taken of you at this event, to raise awareness or money for Access Sport’s work. 3. By sharing your fundraising story with us you give us consent to use this on our social media, marketing and in charity newsletters. 4. By signing up, you agree that the Access Sport Events team can contact you by email and phone about your participation in the event you have registered for. This is only for the purpose of communicating essential event information. Gift Aid: We cannot claim Gift Aid on a donation that you or a close family member makes towards your event sponsorship if you are taking part in an event where Access Sport is contributing to your entry costs. This counts as a gift aid benefit. A close family member is defined as your spouse or civil partner, your parents, siblings, grandchildren and their spouses or civil partners. DIY Fundraisers - Challenge Events To fundraise for Access Sport by taking part in a sporting challenge, you must agree to the terms and conditions below. Taking part: I have purchased my own place in a sporting challenge, and I understand that the event is not organised by Access Sport, but by an independent third party (“Event Organiser”). It is my responsibility to read any terms and conditions issued by the Event Organisers and to comply with these. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are sufficiently fit to take part in this event and if you are in any doubt about this, you will seek advice from your own General Practitioner. DIY Fundraisers - Non-Challenge Events To fundraise for Access Sport by organising your own event or activity you must agree to the terms and conditions below. Taking part: 1. You understand that the fundraising event, activity or challenge you are organising in aid of Access Sport. You understand that: The event or challenge is my responsibility (including but not limited to all costs and liability) and Access Sport bears no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the event. If appropriate, you will arrange insurance and make sure contractors and external facilities used can demonstrate evidence of the relevant insurance cover. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are sufficiently fit to take part in this event You agree that you are participating in this event at your own risk. Access Sport shall not be responsible or liable for loss injury, damage or illness resulting from your participation and you are responsible for your own insurance. You are responsible for the health and safety of all involved in your event, activity, or challenge. You are responsible for ensuring food hygiene and ensuring you have the relevant licences. Fundraising: You agree to raise all money using legal methods and complying with the advice given on our website. If you do not take part in the event, any sponsorship money raised will be treated as donations unless your sponsors contact Access Sport directly for a refund. All funds raised for Access Sport through the event will be made payable to Access Sport within four weeks of the event. Our ‘fundraising in aid of’ logo is to be used for any materials related to the event, please email [email protected] to gain permission to use this beforehand. Competitions - General competitions There is no cash or other alternative to the prize stated and the prize is non-transferable, and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items, or additions. By entering competitions, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by Access Sport for the purposes of the administration of this prize draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
