"An exciting step forward for Access Sport’s Inclusive
Club Network!"

Access Sport is excited to announce a new partnership with Sport England’s Buddle programme, becoming one of its official hubs.

Over the next 12 months, Access Sport and Buddle will work closely together to deliver a bespoke package of support for clubs within Access Sport’s Inclusive Club Network.

This collaboration will build on the inclusion-focused support already available to these club leaders, helping them to become stronger and more sustainable.

Buddle’s existing offer includes a wide range of free resources, templates, videos, and workshops. These cover key areas such as income generation, volunteering, governance, facilities, safeguarding, and inclusion. You can explore everything Buddle has to offer on their website.

Why this partnership matters

In our latest Inclusive Club Network survey, clubs, coaches and volunteers told us they wanted additional support across three key areas:

  • Sustainable club development
  • Social media and marketing
  • Funding and fundraising

In response, we are partnering with Buddle to create bespoke content, practical resources and targeted workshops designed specifically for our network. These learning opportunities will be flexible and accessible, allowing clubs to access support whenever they need it.

Stephanie Mallender, Buddle Lead at Sport England, commented:
"Buddle is incredibly excited to be working in partnership with Access Sport. Through Buddle’s hub approach, we hope to enhance the support and learning opportunities available to community clubs up and down the country, helping them to continue providing positive experiences and opportunities for people to be active."

Helen Rowbotham, CEO at Access Sport, commented:
“This partnership is an exciting step forward for Access Sport’s Inclusive Club Network and the coaches and volunteers we support. By working with Buddle, we can offer even more tailored guidance and practical tools to help community clubs thrive, ensuring they can continue delivering inclusive and high-quality opportunities in their communities.”
