Active Partnerships and Councils

“Working in partnership with Access Sport has enabled community organisations and sports clubs to improve their offer for disabled young people."
Nicola English, Sport Birmingham

Our team is experienced in supporting Active Partnerships and councils to provide more sporting opportunities for local disabled and disadvantaged children.

Our current partners include Active Oxfordshire, London Sport, Yorkshire Sport Foundation, Sport Birmingham, Active Surrey, Greater Manchester Moving and several councils nationwide.

Aligned with Sport England’s expanded place-based approach, we are committed to co-delivering change on the ground and are excited to explore the development of new partnerships.

How can we help?

Through a bespoke partnership, our expert team will support your organisation by:

  • Consulting and co-designing new inclusive community sport offers that deliver on your strategic inclusion objectives
  • Training existing venues, clubs and providers to build their confidence in delivering inclusive offers to more disabled and disadvantaged young people
  • Supporting instructors, coaches, and volunteers in delivering inclusive activities and improving clubs’ ability to engage with their local community.
  • Creating a network of sport, health and community organisations to join up local efforts and make your community sport scene more accessible for underserved communities.

Why work with us?

Through our support, you will inspire your community to drive real change from the ground up:

We come to you!
Our team will come to your region and directly help launch this new project. Our hands-on approach translates your strategic thinking into a tangible impact on disadvantaged and disabled young people and their families.

A bespoke offer for your communities
We will produce a tailored approach that targets communities on the ground, addresses the current gaps and creates a movement of inclusion.

Collaborate with our expert team
Our team of project managers, insight specialists and trainers will be fully available to you. Working together you will have access to a range of experts who will be primed to transform your community sport space, ensuring as many underserved young people as possible can access the life-changing benefits of being active.
