Martin Smith Martin is a Landscape Architect passionate about democratic places for people, nature and the environment. As a keen sportsperson, he has experienced the importance of sport for self-esteem and physical and mental health. For his Landscape Architecture Master’s degree, he focused on sporting landscapes with a major design project on Herne Hill Velodrome and a dissertation about Hackney Marshes. In his spare time, Martin is a keen road racing and track cyclist competing regularly at Lea Valley VeloPark in the Masters races. Away from competition Martin loves yoga and woodland walks.
