Access Sport’s Board Bolstered By Two Business Powerhouses Daniel and Nevin join the Board of Trustees to support us in our mission to make inclusion the norm in community sport. We have appointed Daniel Pell and Nevin Truesdale as our newest Trustees. The two business leaders join the Board of Trustees to support us in our mission to make inclusion the norm in community sport. As General Manager for the UK and Ireland at Workday, Daniel brings over 20 years of experience to the role. Daniel currently leads Workday’s largest international team, driving customer success and business growth through a values-led and purpose-driven culture. Daniel Pell commented:“I’m excited to be joining Access Sport’s Board of Trustees, and I look forward to supporting all of the amazing work being done by the wider team. Through my role at Workday, I’m acutely aware of the challenges businesses and communities are currently facing, and I believe Access Sport has an important role to play in supporting underserved groups, getting the best out of the nation’s young people, and, ultimately, driving societal change.” Before joining Workday, Daniel held senior leadership roles at Salesforce and Microsoft, delivering strategic impact across high-growth, innovative businesses. As a Trustee, Daniel contributes strategic leadership and insight across business transformation, organisational culture and inclusive economic growth. Nevin led The Jockey Club as Chief Executive between 2020 and 2024. During his tenure, The Jockey Club greatly enhanced its inclusion agenda, with initiatives to drive access for children and young adults from backgrounds who would not normally have access to the sport of horseracing. Nevin commented:"I am very excited to be joining the Board of Trustees at Access Sport and helping drive the charity's next phase of growth. I believe that Access Sport's ‘Stand For Inclusion’ strategy helps achieve real, tangible change in communities nationwide, so I am really looking forward to offering my skills, where appropriate, to assist the Board and Executive team in driving the charity forward.” Nevin is passionate about making sport more accessible and leveraging it as a force for positive change. As a Trustee, Nevin brings a strong financial, commercial, and strategic background to the charity. Rachel Baillache, Access Sport Chair, commented:“We are thrilled to welcome Daniel and Nevin to the Board of Trustees. Both individuals bring significant skills, experience and passion to the Board. I’m confident that with Daniel and Nevin onboard, Access Sport will reach more disabled and disadvantaged young people than ever before." Helen Rowbotham, Access Sport's Chief Executive, said:“It is fantastic to welcome Daniel and Nevin to the team. Their knowledge and expertise will be invaluable moving forward. I’m excited to work with them on our mission to make inclusion the norm in community sport.” For updates on our work, please click the link below to sign up for their quarterly newsletter. Sign up >
