"We’re fully on board to help the charity to improve the lives of local children and young people through the delivery of inclusive community sport programmes.””

Access Sport is delighted to announce it has been chosen as the official charity partner for Verastar, the UK’s leading provider of essential business services to small businesses.

Verastar has selected Access Sport as an official 2023 charity partner due to the support for young people in Versastar’s local community and across Greater Manchester.

Employees will participate in a range of fundraising activities such as; running and hiking events, workplace-based fundraising such as quizzes and a step-count challenge. Verastar employees are aiming to raise enough money to help 100 local young people get involved in sport.

The partnership was officially launched at Verastar’s offices in Sale, Greater Manchester, on 2 March by Access Sport ambassador, Olympic athlete and nine times BMX and Track world champion, Shanaze Reade. Employees heard from the athlete as to why she chose to support Access Sport and how she was helping to promote inclusive sports for all.

Helen Rowbotham, CEO at Access Sport, says
"It’s exciting to launch our new partnership with Verastar. Corporate partnerships are really important as they help us to spread the word, raise funds, recruit volunteers and ultimately help us reach more young people. Verastar is an ideal partner for Access Sport and we are thrilled they have chosen us as their charity this year. We can't wait to get started."

Shanaze Reade, Access Sport Ambassador, says
“I’m all about creating opportunities for disadvantaged kids, whether its cycling or any other sport. So I'm very happy to help launch this partnership on behalf of Access Sport and hope Verastar go on to raise lots of money for such a great cause.”

CEO at Veraster, Lee Hull, adds,
“Absolutely delighted to continue our support for and announce Access Sport as our official charity partner for 2023. Verastar colleagues from our Manchester based offices will undertake a number of sports themed fundraising events and challenges, as well as volunteering their time. We’re fully on board to help the charity to improve the lives of local children and young people through the delivery of inclusive community sport programmes."
